This time in our series “Women living outside the rules of society” we met up with Maria Peterson, one of Swedens top female surfer and now also one of our very good friends. Read our post where she shares how her passion for surfing first started, what it’s like to a female surfer in a male dominated industry and thoughts about living the digital nomad lifestyle, with both the benefits and downsides.
We had the pleasure to meet and talk to Elin Sandberg, founder of Yogadoktorn and also working as a Doctor. Her dream is to work with healing and therapy in an overall perspective that includes the medical, bodily, emotional and spiritual perspective.
Self reflection and looking back at the past year, to learn and evolve to the next, is of great importance for self growth. We’ve decided to skip the Gatsby new year plans (hehe), and replace it with dinner with good food and friends, to pause and reflect on the part year, and to create a vision board of what we would like next year to look like (if you’d still prefer the Gatsby party, good for you, maybe next year is for self reflection, nothing to feel bad about!).
We are beyond excited to introduce to you our second participant in our series "Women living outside the rules of society"! We first got to know her boyfriend through a friend in New Zealand. He told us about her and her new company, as it was still new and growing, and we have thereafter seen her and it flourish to one of Swedens (the worlds?) biggest sportswear for women. We give to you; Helen "Hille" Van, co-founder of aim'n!
We have spent the last decade traveling, surfing and exploring the world. During this time we have met so many driven, current and aspiring Digital Nomads and female entrepreneurs. So why not do a interview series with some of them, to help spread their good vibes and life tips that got us super inspired!
First out is Linn Lundgren, a Swede who left a small city and her education with only a few months left to graduate for a life in Sri Lanka. She and her partner has not only founded the dreamy surf & yoga retreat Sunshinestories in Sri Lanka, but also the sister company and boutique hotel and restaurant Ceylon Sliders, her very own Kimono company and a fine jewellery brand AND countless creative projects. All during the vast time of 3 years! Impressive, we know. Let's hear how it all started!
Did you know that each and everyone of our rings are handmade in pure 925 sterling silver in Sri Lanka? Our beloved silversmith helps us turn our dreams in to reality. To us it’s super important to make sure all the steps in our production are kept as sustainable as possible. To be able to support and give back to the local community in our favorite part of Sri Lanka together with our tribe truly is an incredible feeling!

As we travel we often find ourselves talking about the same thing with young girls. It's the situation when you've just realised that the world actually is your oyster, you can live wherever you want, do whatever you want, and be - whatever you want. Great. Now where do we start?
As we started Salty Boho we wanted to remain subtle in the background. But as we grew and as the brand developed - the more we realised we ARE the brand. We live and breathe this brand. Therefore we find it crazy not to show you guys who we are, what we do and what our vision and mission is with this sweet baby - Salty Boho. Here we go!
We love inspiring women sharing their journey around the world, climbing mountains in Nepal, surfing waves in Hawaii, hiking in New Zealand or making graphic prints in LA. Here are a few of our favourite accounts on Instagram for you to follow - and please remember that we believe in choosing inspiration rather than beating yourself up for not living one of those Instagram perfect lives.
You know how people always say the magic never happens inside your comfort zone? Well turns out that aint no lie. Nothing makes you grow like meeting new people from different cultures. Nothing makes life as real as arriving to a new country on your own or with friends, having to figure out how to get where or even where to stay for the night.
We have listed our favorite surf towns around the world that all have a big place in our hearts. We highly recommend you make your way to these little towns if you are searching for a place to enjoy magical sunsets, consistent waves and stunning scenery.
Sometimes when we read through the history of our human explorers it hits us how very seldom we read about the females adventurers that were out there. So we figured, why don't we make this a monthly thing, learning about some sassy females from the past and of course up and some that will rule the future?
What do we love more than banana bread? Vegan banana bread with chocolate chips!
This cake was served to us in Aruba one stressful (as stressful as a day in paradise can get) day at work. A yoga teacher from the island came by and served us this slice of heaven and saved our day and we got her to scribble down the recipe after the first bite. Enjoy!
We like to wear our silver rings 24/7 and rarely take them off (and when we do it still looks like we wear them as our true colour appears as rings on sunburnt hands). Anyway, we did realise that rings could also be referred to as bacteria hoarders and made it a weekly thing to clean them. Here we've decided to share some of our sometimes a bit odd tricks with you.
No matter how much we love to travel and indulge ourselves in foreign culture and food while on the road, nothing is as satisfying as finding real coffee and long-lasting, trustworthy wi-fi for a few hours while working, blogging, Instagramming or Skyping with friends and family. Here is a few of our favourite spots for these activities in Sri Lanka.
